Venue Racing - New Release Testing Specification

VRA New Release Testing

1. Uninstall Venue Race Application
2. Delete PM3VenueRace files from Registry
3. Install new Venue Race Application from http://www.concept2.com/products/pm3/test/c2venuerace/prerelease/setup.exe
4. Create test set of four PM4As

USB Setup

Configure PM4As for venue racing using USB setup & launch VRA 

    1.  Using Wizard, configure 2000m distance race, with 2 PMs racing connected to ErgSim. 

• Throughout the course of the race, toggle Mbehind on and off, and adjust Mbehind settings, and check for unexpected behavior.
• Repeat race twice, or more as may be necessary to obtain stable outcome & race completion.  Exit VRA & return PMs to normal, non-racing mode at the conclusion of each race.
• Spot-check all related files for content, including:
• Race Results from within VRA
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Data
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Race Results

    2.  Using Wizard, configure 500m distance race, with 2 PMs racing connected to ErgSim

• Throughout the course of the race, adjust screen size to various positions, and change Race Display Scale Settings, and check for unexpected behavior
• Repeat race only as may be necessary to obtain stable outcome & race completion.  Exit VRA & return PMs to normal, non-racing mode at the conclusion of each race.
• Spot-check all related files for content, including
• Race Results from within VRA
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Data
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Race Results

    3.  Using Wizard, configure 100m distance race, with 2 PMs racing connected to ErgSim

• Repeat race five times with false starts originating from ErgSim once countdown begins.
• Spot-check all related files for content, including
• Race Results from within VRA
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Data
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Race Results
• Exit VRA & return PMs to normal, non-racing mode at the conclusion of the 5^th false start test.

    4.  Using Wizard, configure 5:00 timed race, with 2 PMs racing connected to ErgSim

• Throughout the course of the race, Stop Race (cancel), access drop-down menus, toggle More Status, and toggle various Options settings, and check for unexpected behavior
• Repeat race three times, or more as may be necessary to obtain stable outcome & race completion. Exit VRA & return PMs to normal, non-racing mode at the conclusion of each race.
• Spot-check all related files for content, including
• Race Results from within VRA
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Data
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Race Results

    5.  Using Wizard, configure 1:00:00 timed race, with 2 PMs racing connected to ErgSim

• Monitor periodically for unexpected behavior
• Repeat only as may be necessary to obtain stable outcome & race completion.
• Spot-check all related files for content, including
• Race Results from within VRA
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Data
• C:\Documents and Settings\jd\My Documents\Concept2\Venue Race\Race Results
• Exit VRA & return PMs to normal, non-racing mode at the conclusion of the race. 

Wired Setup

Configure PM4As for venue racing using Wired setup & launch VRA 

Repeat Steps 1-5 as described above for USB Setup
