How the LogCard Utility deals with invalid date issues

This article applies to LogCard Utility version 6.21 and higher.

The LogCard utility addresses two types of workout date issues as follows:

1. If any workout dates are more than 10 days in the future relative to the PC/Mac, then the user is presented with a warning dialog:

No data is modified in the above scenario.

2. If any workout dates are invalid (meaning the month is greater than 12, or one of the other date/time fields is simply impossible), then the utility presents a complete list of the user's workouts, and highlights the proposed changed dates.  The dialog looks something like this:

The logic for selecting the proposed date is: If the previous workout date for the same user is valid, then set the date of the invalid workout to be 1 minute later than the previous.  If the previous workout date is not valid (or there is no previous workout for that user), then the invalid workout date is set to the PC's current date.

The date repairs will be made if the user presses the OK button, but not made if the user presses Cancel.

NOTE: This version of the Utility does not attempt to make any changes if a date is out of sequence on the card.  As in previous versions, the workouts will be resorted by date before the card is rewritten.  Therefore this version doesn't address the scenario of a user going to a heath club and logging a workout on a PM that doesn't have its date set.
